Choosing what to wear is one of the biggest questions moms have before their session, and you won’t have to figure it out alone. I provide styling guidance before your session to help you choose pieces that photograph beautifully and feel comfortable and authentic to you.

For maternity sessions, I also offer a curated client closet of maternity dresses available for you to borrow for your session. These gowns are selected specifically to flatter expecting mothers and photograph beautifully, with soft fabrics, elegant movement, and timeless styling. You’re welcome to choose from the collection, bring your own outfit, or do a combination of both.

My goal is to make the entire experience feel easy and stress-free-so you can focus on enjoying this special season while looking and feeling your best.

There’s no strict time limit for your maternity session.

I don’t watch the clock or hold you to a set timeframe-we take the time we need to create the images we’re looking for together. Every maternity session is a little different depending on outfit changes, locations, and the overall pace that feels most comfortable for you.

Some sessions are shorter, while others take a bit more time, especially if we’re incorporating multiple dresses from the client closet or moving through different looks. I want you to feel relaxed, comfortable, and never rushed.

This season of motherhood is worth slowing down for. My goal is to create a calm, enjoyable experience where you can simply be present and we can capture beautiful, timeless images of this special chapter.

After your maternity session, I carefully go through all of the images and select the very best of the best to hand-edit. Rather than delivering hundreds of images in an online gallery, I thoughtfully curate your session into a collection of finished portraits that tell the story of this special season.

Once your images are ready, I create a custom slideshow video and gallery, and invite you back to the studio for your ordering appointment. This is one of my favorite parts of the experience-seeing your images for the first time together and helping you choose your favorites.

During your ordering appointment, we’ll view your portraits, select the images you love most, and design how you’d like to enjoy them-whether as wall art, an album, or other printed pieces for your home. I am a product-based studio, which means your portraits are created to be printed, displayed, and enjoyed beyond the screen. Digital files are included with every print purchased.

The full process typically takes 2–6 weeks, depending on the time of year, the number of images from your session, and overall studio volume.

My goal is to create more than just digital images-I want you to walk away with beautiful artwork that preserves this chapter for years to come.

Lynne Duval Photography is a product-based studio, which means your images are created with the intention of becoming something tangible you can see and enjoy every day-not just files stored on a phone or computer.

During your ordering appointment, I’ll help you choose your favorite images and decide how you’d love to display them, whether that’s framed wall art, an heirloom album, matted prints, or other custom artwork for your home. I guide you through the process so it feels simple and personal.

Digital files are included with every print purchased, so you receive both beautiful artwork for your home and the matching digital image to keep and share.

My goal is for your maternity portraits to become lasting keepsakes-something you can hold in your hands, display in your home, and one day share with your child as part of their story.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry-we’ll make a plan together.

I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session, and if it looks like heavy rain, strong wind, or anything that would make the experience uncomfortable, we have options. Depending on the weather and the look you’re hoping for, we can either move your session into the studio or reschedule for another date that works for both of us.

Sometimes cloudy skies can actually be beautiful for portraits, so not every forecast change means we need to move the session. I’ll guide that decision based on the light, the conditions, and what will photograph best.

My priority is always creating beautiful images while making sure you feel comfortable and relaxed. I never want you stressing about the weather-I’ll handle that part, and together we’ll choose the best option for your session.
